Potato Wedges that ROCKED!
OH dear me! Here I am sitting here kinda waiting for a comment or two from some of my most faithful readers. Well, not really sitting here waiting, but checking my email to see if a comment came in (Yes, I do have better things to do than sit here checking email, but I had a few minutes to kill of "free-time". Alas, no comments from today's post.
Well will wonders never cease!!!!!I forgot to click publish! No wonder there is no comments!Good Grief, I haven't hit 40 yet ( and not for a few more years I might add) and I can't remember to click publish? That has never happened.....
Chop it up to my great achievement of yesterday! :)

So, I went to Wal-mart yesterday and realized that some things are getting more expensive. You really have to watch your prices there now. In the past, I ‘ve felt I could shop with more abandon than I did yesterday. Yes, some things were nicely priced, others, not so. For instance, their chicken fingers used to be 6.97, now they are 9.98. Way to much a price difference for me to justify buying them. Had I never known they were 6.97, I would think 9.98 is not bad. Then again, if you go down the road a bit to Giant Tiger (now open! great, great discount store for food) you can buy chicken there for $3-$6 a box. There were other items that have slipped my mind as to the prices being raised, but my dlb and defiantly noticed a price difference in some things. Some items were of course “roll-backs”, and the prices were a steal of a deal, but there we go again, KNOW YOUR PRICES!

I made potatoes the other day that ROCKED! It was my own recipe, which means if anyone would ask for my recipe it will not turn out the same. Nor will it turn out the same for me the next time I make them. Isn’t that how it always is? Aside from that they were so tender and yummy! Here’s what I did:
Sliced potatoes into wedges
I added the following in no specific amount, just by looks:
Parmesan
Olive oil
Sage
Italian Spice
Pepper
Seasoning Salt
Garlic Powder
Paprika
I put a lid on a bowl and shook them, then I baked them in a baking pan for about 1 hour on 250-300 degrees C (my oven varies :) )
They were tender and tasty!
I served marinated BBQ chicken thighs as my meat. Jade LOVES chicken thighs and this time even loved the potatoes!
This meal was a definite hit and will be made again. I do doubt it will be as good as the first time though. But who knows, it could be better!
There’s my awesome meal of the day.

Here’s a tip for a deal: When you go to Superstore check out the bagged lettuce and greens. Sometimes they have a dollar off coupon on them (orange) and you can get a nice bag of lettuce for supper (and then some) for 18 cents! Now that’s a deal!

Here's your comment...although I'm not sure what to say (that's a blog in itself).
I LOVE potato wedgies (someone I know actually ordered them in a restaurant that way)! Mine never turn out the same way either, but that's okay because I love variety.
dlb - "dear lovable baffoon"?
"don't leave baloney"?
"donut-lovin' baby"?
"damn lid breaker"?
Hey e. you got the dear part right and part of the second word!
And maybe someday soon you'll have to come over for some potato wedgies! :)
