A once great post....

We finished our Power Point Presentation last night. PHEW! Is all I can say. I don’t like cutting it so close. But at least it’s done AND it looks great! (If I do say so myself). Yesterday I started to work on it around 1pm and was nearing the finishing touches when C-man came home around 5pm. I didn’t even start or make supper like I usually do, so my family pitched in to help and within 40 minutes we had a clean house, supper was just about done and the power point was just waiting for the final music touches. AHHHH, I hadn’t realized what a huge knot was in my stomach about this thing.

If the knot wasn’t there, around 5:25pm I would have gotten one. My sil came to drop off a disk from C-man’s family in AB. It was a video that we were supposed to play during this presentation. I had totally forgotten that they were supposed to send something. We slipped in the CD, and nothing happened! OH GREAT! It doesn’t work!

So, I phoned her. “Peggy, your disk doesn’t work!”

“What??” she replied. “It worked here”

Great, just the words a person needs to hear. It could be anything then. Our computer…. damage on the way here in the mail…. etc. The thoughts flew through my head in those few seconds before she said,

“It worked on our TV.”

“Oh?” I said. “Is it a DVD?”

She said “Yes.”

“Well, then I will go play it on my TV right now!”

Truthfully, I haven’t tried it yet. I’m too scared. I don’t want it to fail. So, I suppose my dlb will try it this afternoon. I will plug my ears and squeeze my eyes shut. :)

I had started this post this morning as Jade was getting ready for school. The thoughts were flying and my fingers were zooming across the keyboard…It was coming together so well after my little blogger hiatus.

Then comes a frantic little girl running into my office and says:

“Mom, you said you’d cut my nails, I haven’t eaten and I need to get going to school!”

That was at 8:10 this morning. It’s now 8:46am she just left for school, I ran (ok walked) over to my computer and thought I’d continue this post with same vigor I had at 8:10 this morning. Well, it seems those wonderful thoughts are gone. That vigor and urgency to get my thoughts out there are gone. Alas, the rambling.

I do have other things to do, like make 100 biscuits, grocery shop, sweep my floors (again, seems I can’t keep up when the weather is like this) pick up stuff up town, oh the list doesn’t end today.
