Phew! A couple days have flown by and I realized I haven’t blogged.
So this morning I sit here trying to decide what to blog about.
Yesterday I made the scrumptious Rhubarb Coffee Cake I blogged about a little while ago. It was as tasty as I remembered it! You have got to try some!
My dlb asked me yesterday what kind of cake mix use for it?????????????
I was offended! I have never used a cake mix for this cake. EVER! Don’t get me wrong I am not against cake mix at all, in fact I use it. But not this recipe, UH UH, no way! It’s tasty and moist all on it’s own.
After my feathers went back down, and my deer in the headlight look went away, I realized I should take it as a compliment. Cake Mixes are always moist and work out. Perhaps that’s what he was getting at, I don’t know. For the time being I will just let myself believe that. :)
I got new cookbooks for Mother’s Day! Company’s Coming ones to boot!
Those are my ultimate favorite cookbooks!
I received Slow-Cooker Dinners and Mostly Muffins. I might just try out a slow-cooker recipe today, it seems like a slow-cooker recipe day.

I absolutely LOVE cake mixes (taste-wise). And if you (or any of your readers) have a cake recipe that tastes like cake mix, I would really like to have it! Maybe it's all the additives that make it soooo good...
I made a roast in the slowcooker today - you're right, it was definitely a slowcooker kind-of day! The smell was scrumptous all day (put it in at 9:30 a.m.)!
