Sore

I’m a little sore today. Yesterday we took off to Sandilands to ride. We rode for a little over an hour and WOW! Can I feel it today! But that doesn’t include the 4 cartwheels and steep incline setting I have set my treadmill at.

Today I’m doubting the smartness of my decisions to incorporate all these things into one day. First, riding when we haven’t ridden that hard in a couple weeks, second, cartwheels, why on earth would I try cartwheels after I’ve trail ridden? Thirdly, why would I bring home the treadmill and set it up to the highest incline and walk 14 minutes on it, particularly when I’ve just thrown my body for a loop doing cartwheels. NOT SMART!

So for all you folks who haven’t done cartwheels in…. umm…… let’s see 20 years, think twice, especially when you plan to incorporate other vigorous forms of exercise that day.

(Side note: my family thinks I do amazing cartwheels. (I used to be quite good at them, apparently I still am. Not bad for a fluffy chic.) I can just imagine Jade going to school today and telling all her friends that her mom can do cartwheels! Hopefully I won’t have to go to show and tell.)

I am somewhat jealous about your ride! We rode Tuffy on Sunday for a while, up and down the lane, and it was great, I am a little sore - hadn't ridden for that stretch of time in a while!

wm, you totally could have joined us, but we only decided at 10:30am to go, and were in Sandilands by noon. Have no fear, you will come yet.
The best thing to do with being sore from riding is to ride again. But does this mean I have to do cartwheels again?

Cartwheels?? My goodness, you are brave! I never did get the hang of them...maybe I'll learn when I'm 40!
