If I could tape the sweet sounds of my Jade
As I sit up here listening to the sweet childish high pitched voice of my child singing along with the hymns playing on her tape, I pray I will be able to record it in my memory for those times of sitting on the porch remembering the good old days.
I do have to say though she is way more in tune than she used to be, which is more pleasant to our ears.
The funny thing is, she says she doesn’t even like some the songs that she is hearing. We had this conversation just a few days ago:

Mom: Jade, can you please find another tape please? I’m getting tired of listening to it.
Jade: OK, sure Mom. I’m kinda getting tired of it anyway too.
Mom: Great!
Jade: I really only like a few of those songs on there anyway.
(Side note: there are about 25 songs on the whole tape of kids inspirations songs)
Mom: Really?
Jade: Yep, but I sing to all of them anyway!
Mom: Yeah I know.
Jade: You do? How?
Mom: I can hear you.
Jade: You can hear me? Singing from downstairs?
Mom: Yes, and you sound great!
Jade: I do?
Mom: Yeah, it’s nice to hear.
Jade walked away smiling….:)
She may not like every song on that tape but she sings them all and with gusto too! She will never forget those songs as she gets older. I also can’t help but think of the positive influence those songs have on her soul while playing. Sometimes when I’m working downstairs we both sing and it warms my heart. I hope it warms hers too.

When I was younger I use to love to sing. I would make up my own songs and sing none stop. There was one problem no one in the house seemed to enjoy my singing as much as I did. So I got teased and insulted a lot. It's good to hear that you encourage your daughter to sing even though its not always pleasing to your ears. By the way the teasing never stopped me. I took advantage of my families dislike and used it to annoy them to death. (knead it)
Glad to hear you never stopped, and annoying them to death in the fashion only you can do, is too funny! (I got it...)
